With 10 acres of organic farm and traditional wisdom, This "family farmer" can help you eat right
Away from the hustles and bustles of the city, Sneh Yadav and Retd Col. Tara Singh are on a mission, to change the way we look at food.
Growing up in a traditional farmer family, agriculture was always a part of Sneh's life and when the time came to choose a new adventure, they didn't have to think twice before going back to the land. and that was the beginning of Tijara Organic Farms.

Vegan Homesteading / Florida Rescue Farm
When we started our journey to Peacefield, Glenn and Kelly were some of the first FL people we met and showed us how they created their own piece of magic at Florida Rescue Farm. Vegan Organic Hemp | Wickenheiser Sustainable Family Farm
Seventeen years ago, Bernie Wickenheiser began farming 200 acres while working a second job in the oil fields of Alberta to make ends meet. That land had been cultivated for many years by his father, who farmed and taught school at the same time.
By 2006, Bernie's curiosity about organic farming had become a passion. "This is a moral thing not a money thing," he says. "An ethical thing, understanding what all these sprays, all these chemicals and fertilizers actually do to the human body."

Vegan Organic Food Production: How to Go Beyond Animal Agriculture – Daniel Mettke [IARC2017]
On a daily basis we are confronted with the fatalities that so-called "modern" farming brings forth: abuse and exploitation of non-human animals and humans alike, ecologically disastrous management of resources, with negative effects on the global climate, whole environments and last not least individuals.
Combined, most forms of agriculture constitute the most important area of institutionalized global animal exploitation. Animal rights advocacy focuses on that, speaking out against all forms of animal exploitation, acting by rescuing, releasing or harboring individual farm animals, promoting vegan food and life style, still the way farming is commonly perceived to be inseparable interweaved with animal use is hardly touched by these words and actions.
Vegan (syn. "veganic", "stockfree") ...

Tijara Organic farm is not an organic farm by name, they don't have a vast landmass that can cultivate n number of crops all season long. They are very particular about what to grow in their land and also what not to grow in their land. They are also happy to share their space with the living organisms that visit the farm, for them, it was all about creating a sustainable ecosystem.
even with customers, Sneh maintains a very close and personal relationship. As she is determined to change the mindset of the people as to what to eat and when to eat. This is where the concept of family farming comes into the picture. Watch the video, to learn more about the farm and the concept behind Sneh and Tijara Organic farms.

When we started our journey to Peacefield, Glenn and Kelly were some of the first FL people we met and showed us how they created their own piece of magic at Florida Rescue Farm. Originally this was just going to be a homestead as they wanted to live off the land and remove themselves from the food system. They weren’t vegan at the time and assumed homesteading had to include killing and eating animals. Well, when the time came, after caring for and raising them, they just couldn’t do it. These sweet creatures had worked their way into their hearts and rather than callously going through with it, they let compassion take over. They now saw these animals as individuals and family members. While still an incredible homestead, they are now also a farm animal rescue. They are an example to us all, but especially for other homesteaders who want to reduce their impact on the planet, get back to nature, and live off the land - and you can do all of that, and more, by living in harmony with animals as friends, rather than for their use. They are the real deal, personal heroes and an inspiration to us. We’re monthly supporters and if you have a few extra bucks we know it will go to good use at Florida Rescue Farm. Their lighthearted welcoming spirit, excitement, and great info/tips made this such a special visit and we can’t wait to get back soon. Ps, Kelly we’re still dreaming about that vegan yogurt you sent us home with. It was SO good! 😋

Vegan (syn. "veganic", "stockfree") organic farming is the kind of agriculture that intends to respect the rights of animals not to be used as commodities, both on a conceptual level and in actual practice and therefore implements crucial practical elements of animal liberation, food sovereignity, social, economical and ecological justice.
The talk aims to propose employing vegan organic farming in a deliberate push-(and)-pull strategy of animal rights activism, to function both a central demand in the societal discourse on animal politics, as well as practical example for exploitation-free food production.
Presented you by International Animal Rights Conference 2017.
